Charlie - Baby Beanie Hat

There just aren't enough cute free patterns for baby boys - so I hope to add a few more over the next couple of months, starting with this easy little baby hat.


Charlie - Baby Beanie Hat              0 - 3 months

Charlie Baby Hat                 4 – 10 years

 

Size:

Width:    7 ½ “ (19cm)   15” (38cm) all around 

 
Height:   7 ½ “ (19cm)

 


Requires:

 

DK yarn  ~  around 30g

4mm needles

 

Pattern:

 
Cast on 88sts

1st Row: S1, * k2, p2, rep from * to last 3sts, k3

2nd Row: S1, * p2, k2, rep from * to last 3sts, p2, k1

Repeat the last 2 rows 6 times more

15th Row:            S1, knit across row

16th Row:            S1, purl to last st, k1

17th Row:            S1, k2, * p2, k2, rep from * to last st, k1

18th Row:            S1, * p2, k2, rep from * to last 3sts, p2, k1

19th Row:            S1, knit across row

20th Row:            S1, purl to last st, k1

Repeat the last 6 rows four times more, increase 1 stitch at beg of last row                        89sts

Charlie Baby Hat with a Bow






To make a bow ~
Cast on 15sts

Knit 7 rows
Cast off
Wrap a length of yarn round the middle 4 or 5 times, and pull tight.
Attach to the hat. Darn away ends.
